Whether you are trying to determine the capacity for one machine or a plant full of machines
and no matter if the period of measurement is for a week, a month or a year the Kanban Calculator
can give you the information you need to improve your production process.

Let’s take a look a some sample data screens in the Kanban Calculator and see what they
offer you. After viewing these screen you can download your own demo version of the
Kanban Calculator and enter your own data.

The first step is to establish the period of measurement.

The second step in the process is to set up the machines to be measured in the Kanban Calculator.

Under the parts tab you enter all the information relative to the parts to be run on the machine
during the measurement period.

The Kanban Calculator graphically depicts capacity requirements to meet production demand
for the period specified. Shifts needed on the vertical axis and Days of Inventory running on the horizontal axis. Green means everything is OK. Red means capacity issues.

The Run Data Tab let’s you review the data you have entered and calculates necessary value for each part.

The Plant Tab provides a summary of the total plant requirements to run all the parts on all the machines loaded into the Kanban Calculator for the period specified, or you can choose the machines you want to calculate.

The Kanban Calculator provides a variety of reports and graphs to help you monitor the production process and quickly make needed adjustments. You also can do What-If Scenarios to see how it affects the machine capacity. Like reducing setup times, or improving efficiency.
